Horseriding
This might be the best way to enjoy Tupiza and
its surroundings: by horse. Valle Hermoso
provides great horseriding tours for both
inexperienced and experienced riders. Even if
you've never ridden a horse in your life, you'll
find yourself enjoying this immensely. The guide
is professional, who is practically born on the
back of a horse, so to speak. He is a skilled and
experienced instructor and will take care of you
as you're learning to direct your horse. It's
easier than you may think! If you wish, you'll be
provided with the proper gear, like a sombrero
(hat), poncho, map and food and drinks.
Horseriding is an old tradition in Tupiza. On
your horseriding trip you'll explore the mighty
mountains, cross rivers and ramble on the
prairies. You'll get to know spiritual places,
where you can see mysterious drawings on the
wall, made by the people who lived here many,
many years ago, even before the age of the
Inca's. These places are still treated with
respect by the indegenous and other Bolivians
alike. You will learn about the ancient legends
that people tell about these places, as well as
about the days of Butch Cassidy and The Sundance
Kid. Your guide will show you places that very
few tourists have ever visited. You won't find
these in the travel guides! The general price is
20 bs per hour. You can go for a few hours, up to
various days of adventurous travelling.
3 hours = 60 bs ** 5 hours = 100 bs ** 7 hours = 120 bs
2 days = 240 bs ** 3 days = 360 bs ** 4 days = 480 bs
Incl. guide and lodging (for the tours of 2 days and more). Food not included.
